Roy holds a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry and Cellular Biology and is an admitted attorney and patent attorney. He has spoken at numerous conferences and gatherings on intellectual property law and patent law in particular and has had articles in this field published. Roy is a member of the South African group of the AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property).
